And just a heads up, all of the newly transferred in players are now available on waivers since the transfer window just closed! Another week of some high scoring matchups, led by Amber's 60 pointer to defeat Scott's 41! Elsewhere, ChrisB bounced back from a rough first week with a huge 58-47 win against Kim and Mack joined the group on 6 points with her 39-28 victory over Andrew! Full matchups are as follows:

Heading into gameweek 3, Gavin moves to his (expected) spot at the top of the table following his second 50+ week in a row! He is joined by Delaney, ZachA, and Mack as League B's 4 remaining undefeated managers!

And onto the Game Changers for the week! Might be a little sparse because for some reason middle of nowhere Oregon doesn't have cell service :/

• Amber: Bryan Mbeumo - 11 pts - A solid score from the bald man considering he somehow hit the crossbar instead of scoring from maybe 3 feet from the goal. And almost deja vu as he hit the crossbar again but saw the ball bounce the opposite way as he netted one of the 5 goals for United (and got an assist, but who didn't)
• Mack: Anthony Elanga - 8 pts - Did anyone have Anthony Elanga back to back game changers and goals on their bingo card? Classic Liverpool and Spurs, gifting goals to the poor. Except it's more like if Robin Hood stole from the poor and also gave to the poor.
• Gavin: Rayan Cherki - 14 pts - Followed up his 2 assist performance with a 2 goal match. What's he gonna do next week, get 2 penalty saves?
• ChrisB: Pascal Groß - 13 pts - After a week 1 performance that made us all think he was washed and old and decrepit, he rolled back the years (by ~0.5) and scored and assisted against Chelsea as the seagulls fell just short and lost 3-4.
• Delaney: Morgan Gibbs-White - 13 pts - The red team from Nottingham defeated the red team from Liverpool 2-2 off the back of a classic MGW performance where he contributed to both goals scored (1g1a). Iraola out?
• ZachA: Bruno Fernandes - 23 pts - I guess we all know who the good one of the promoted teams is as last year's player of the season showed why he was that by locking in against the tractor boys and scoring 3 and also getting an assist. Not gonna break that assist record again with only 1 of those buddy.

Congrats to Gavin for winning August Manager of the Month! A solid 115 PF put him solidly ahead of Delaney/ZachA/Mack who are also on 6 points.

Next week will see some great matchups, headlined by a top 3 match between Gavin and ZachA where the winner will take their spot on 9 points! Elsewhere, Mack takes on Scott in what should be an interesting one, Kim and Andrew face off to put their first points on the board, and Angus looks to pull off the upset against Delaney! The League of Champions

Welcome to gameweek 3 of the League of Champions! Some crazy matchups yet again this week, headlined by the narrow 52-50 Gavin win against Charlotte! Elsewhere, Kim defeated Zach by the same margin at 47-45, Jesse picked up his 2nd win of the group stage in a 31-30 victory against Brylan, Darryan won a close one against 51-47 over Delaney to get himself on the board, and MatthewR's solid 51 pointer was good for -29 PD against Katie's 80 pointer. 10 - Tori (NEW) - League C - Last 2: 46 (W), 52 (W) - A pair of wins and solid scores from our League C #1 see her take a spot on this list with quite the point spread this week. Only one double digit coming from Calafiori and a whole lotta 4s and 5s. Hill and Truffert mirrored one another with 4 pointers, Rice and Rogers both had 5, and Roefs and Ballard picked up their assists (and Ballard got his weekly 10 defensive contributions). And yet, maybe the most interesting bit about Tori's team this week is that she didn't have a single 0 or 1 pointer. I'm honestly not sure the last time I've seen that.

9 - Chris (-4) - League A - Last 2: 54 (W), 33 (L) - Kinda a rough one for Chris as his highest score came from 7 whole points from Benjamin White. Hume also kept a clean sheet for what it's worth. Hey and the best to ever do it Harry Maguire used that big brain of his to turn what would've been a handball into an Ipswich own goal so I'd say things are looking preeeetty good for Chris going forward. Anyway, surely Brobbey will get it going soon and Hinshelwood finds some magic injury spray somewhere.

8 - Luke (+1) - League A - Last 2: 53 (W), 45 (W) - Despite trying to trade his entire team away, Luke's last couple of weeks look eerily similar to Tori's, but with none of the same players. His score this week came from his triplet of defcon beasts: Ndiaye, Mykolenko, and Wirtz? Oh wait that's an assist and yellow my bad. His high scorer this week was Gross (of course) backed up by a couple of goals from Wissa and Cold Palmer. Plus, maybe if he didn't trust Spurs players so much he'd have another 10 points this week.

7 - Kim (-1) - League B - Last 2: 38 (L), 47 (L) - A tough matchup this week for Kim as Haaland's brace just wasn't enough to save her from triple double digit returns on the other side of the field. Anyway, 47 is still pretty solid as Haaland was joined by Foden's double assist, Thiaw picked up a clean sheet, and Xhaka somehow got 6 points from a clean sheet and 3 bonus, in a 1-0 game. Huh. Despite the couple of losses, Oli McBurnie cannot be stopped so I expect to see a long line of (W) from here on out.

6 - Charlotte (+1) - League C - Last 2: 50 (D), 50 (W) - The bastion of consistency herself with back to back 50 pointers, this time including 10 from Schade's goal, 11 from Mbeumo and Lewis Hall, and not much else going on. But hey, 50 points is 50 points, and Igor Jesus has just passed 1 xG and is still at 0 goals which means he is guaranteed a goal next week. That's what that means, right?

5 - Katie (+3) - League C - Last 2: 30 (L), 80 (W) - She had me doubting myself after seeing the GW1 30 pointer after I put her in this slot after the draft, but boy was I vindicated this week as she puts up what could certainly be a season-high 80 pointer (based on last season). And surprise surprise, 23 of those points came from Bruno Fernandes. Add in the Scott and Tarkowski 12 pointers, MGW's 13, and Isidor and Evanilson going full Power Rangers and hyphenating into one Gibbs-White and you've got quite the squad. Plus, 3 of her players didn't even start, and if she trusted Hull City a little bit more than Liverpool, it could've been a 90. And then we're getting into Matthew season 2 territory.

4 - Andrew (-3) - League B - Last 2: 53 (L), 28 (L) - What goes up comes back down as Tavernier/Dango/Aaronson/Lacroix/Canvot/Kerkez/Verbruggen tried their hardest and combined for an impressive 5 points. Which just so happens to be the same amount as Rogers and also Evanilson. Does that mean Evanilson is worth the same as all of those players? Probably. If only Joao Pedro had scored a hat trick of own goals instead of just 1 and he would've been worth 1 Evanilson as well. There's always next week.

3 - Zach (-1) - League A - Last 2: 47 (W), 45 (L) - Unfortunately for Zach he came up against the unstoppable force that is my team this week, but I'm sure he'll bounce back considering he's got the best goalscorer in the league and Haaland. Jokes aside still a solid score this week from a slew of defensive contributions from Rice/Stach/Hill and one of these days a Sesko substitution is going to pay dividends like it was doing last season.

2 - Aarushi (+1) - League C - Last 2: 55 (W), 51 (L) - One of the few (as in, 1 of 3) managers with 2 50+ weeks to their name, Aarushi got hit by the Tori truck this week and lost by a single heartbreaking point. Other than Gross's 13 pointer, this 51 pointer was built from a whole lot of 4s, a 6, and an 8, as Wissa and Raya held up their ends of the bargain with a goal and a clean sheet, respectively, and Ndiaye, Sangare, Muharemovic, and Maguire did their part by hitting the defcon threshold. Wait, Maguire got an assist and that's how he ended up with 4? Am I allowed to make the same joke twice?

1 - Gavin (+3) - League B - Last 2: 63 (W), 52 (W) - The preseason odds for League B promotion seemed to be just about right on the money as Gavin continues his hot start with 2/2 wins and 2/2 weeks above 50 as Cherki found out goals are worth more than assists, Tarkowski remembered he can head the ball goalwards (I'm assuming he scored a header, I didn't see the game), and Isak scored a goal! Hooray for Isak owners, we're so back! Anyway, Gavin does have the Ndiaye -> Manchester City situation to figure out and if Tzolis 45' 0 pointers become a consistent thing he may have to drop 1 of the 3 stashed players he has. Or not, he's got Rayan Cherki and Wesley Fofana. He's good.
