League Table

Weekly Matchups
And taking a look at the league table, this week's results see the top 2 remain exactly where they are: 4 points apart. However, below that Jesse cuts the gap to 2nd to just 3 points. He moves into outright ownership of 3rd, 3 points ahead of myself and MatthewR. We are in turn 2 points ahead of Kevin and Luke, who are followed closely (by 1 point) by Dylan. Further down, Matt's win sees him move up the board to 9th, above Scott and Coop by one point.
Game Changers! I did not get to watch any of the games bar the Brentford vs Wolves one, so probably a nonspecific sort of game changers week.
- Matthew: James Hill - 8 pts - Hill makes it now 7 returns in 8 weeks with yet another 8 pointer from a clean sheet and defensive contributions. The new Senesi?
- Kevin: Malick Thiaw - 9 pts - A huge week for Kevin as Konate and Le Fee make room for Thiaw's 9 points as Newcastle do what they couldn't do against Barcelona and conceded 0 goals at the weekend.
- Matt: Matheus Cunha - 8 pts - A week of narrow margins for Matt as Cunha picked up his 7th goal this season for Manchester United and United use it to make some space in 3rd in the table.
- Luke: Marcos Senesi - 10 pts - Hill-lite does his best Hill impression by trying to one-up the real star of the Bournemouth defense by also getting 2 bonus points. No need to showboat buddy.
- Dylan: Dominik Szoboszlai - 11 pts - This award could have just as easily gone to Vicario, who for some reason saw John Liverpool standing over a free kick and decided he didn't really need to make a save. Anyway, the Hungarian right back / midfielder also got defensive contribution points and a couple bonus as Liverpool couldn't put another nail in the Tottenham coffin as they draw 1-1.
- Jesse: Adrien Truffert - 11 pts - Senesi-lite does his best Senesi impression by trying to one-up the real impersonator of the real star of the Bournemouth defense by also getting 3 bonus points. No need to showboat buddy.
Halfway through March and we are down to just 3 unbeaten teams in Luke, Kevin, and Jesse!
Manager of the Month
And over on the form table, Jesse takes the top spot with a perfect 15/15 points earned! He sits just ahead of Kevin and Luke, who have 10/15 in the last 5!

Champions Cup
Welcome to Gameweek 3 of the Champions Cup! Some great matchups this week, led by the high scoring 60-44 win by Alex over Luke in Group A! Also in that group, Darryan picked up his 2nd win of this group stage over Emma in a narrow 34-30 win, and Matt put himself on the board after taking a close 35-30 victory over Andrew. Other close matches included Scott's narrow 35-33 win over Zach in group C alongside my League B team's high scoring 51-42 win against Mack in the same group. Over in Group D, Morgs picked up a big 3 points as she defeated John 41-36. The full results are as follows:
Group A:
- Darryan 34-30 Emma
- Luke 44-60 Alex
- Matt 35-30 Andrew
A big week this week for Alex, whose high score took him top of Group A on PF over Darryan on 6 points. Matt's win puts him level with Luke on 3 points, with Andrew and Emma yet to put any points on the board.
Group B:
- MatthewR 40-32 Chris
- Jesse 39-32 ZachA
- Gavin 42-15 Travis
Jesse (of course) sees his win this week take him top of the table on PF over League A compatriot MatthewR at 6 points, ahead of ZachA and Gavin. The latter of whom earning his first win this week in who even knows how long. The two winless managers in this group are Chris and Travis.
Group C:
- Zach 33-35 Scott
- Kevin 45-29 Divya
- Matthew2 51-42 Mack
Group C (which may very well be the group of death) is led by my League B team on PF ahead of Kevin on 6 points. Scott's head to head win against Zach puts the two level on 3 points earned, leaving Mack - who has almost as much PF as Kevin - and Divya on 0 points.
Group D:
- Matthew 38-29 Coop
- Dylan 62-39 Cara
- John 36-41 Morgs
And if you hadn't guessed it already, Group D follows the same pattern of 2 managers on 6, 2 on 3, and 2 on 0 points. The duo at the top is Dylan and my League A team, followed by John and Morgs who just faced off against one another, and finally Coop and Cara to finish out the group.
And next week we will see some great matchups, headlined by what should be a really fun one between Zach and Matthew2 in Group C! Elsewhere, Darryan takes on Alex in a battle at the top of Group A, MatthewR faces off against ZachA in what could be a knockout-round confirming when for the former, and my League A team goes up against John in Group D! Full matchups are as follows:
Group A:
- Darryan vs Alex
- Luke vs Matt
- Emma vs Andrew
Group B:
- MatthewR vs ZachA
- Jesse vs Gavin
- Chris vs Travis
Group C:
- Zach vs Matthew2
- Kevin vs Scott
- Mack vs Divya
Group D:
- Matthew vs John
- Dylan vs Coop
- Morgs vs Cara
And here is a view of the entire group stage as it stands!
Group Stage
Power Rankings
On the bubble (in no order): Luke, Chris, MatthewR, Morgs Fell off: Chris
10 - Alex (NEW) - League B - Last 5: 37 (W), 36 (L), 39 (L), 43 (W), 60 (W) - A big week for Alex sees him back on this list for the first time since Gameweek 23. His heavily Bournemouth and Liverpool biased team seems to be working though, as he steadily has worked his way up the League B table. Interestingly, Truffert (118), Thiaw (114), and Szoboszlai (120) have very similar total point values this season. And this is despite the fact that Thiaw is a complete wildcard and sometimes decides that -1 point is the way to go, and Szoboszlai has been Liverpool's best player.
9 - Jesse (-) - League A - Last 5: 58 (W), 36 (W), 39 (W), 55 (W), 39 (W) - I'm not saying Jesse is lucky, but I do think it's perhaps a little bit suspect that he has had wins in the last 5 matches at 36, 39, and 39 points. Maybe he has a finger on the scale a little bit :eyes: anyway, a wins a win and Jesse has been doing just enough to get them off the back of a Truffert 11 pointer, Casemiro goal, and Ampadu and Garner defcons. Unfortunately for him though, Chalobah's ankle decided to take a vacation in the Champions League this week, Liverpool drew against Tottenham (lol), and I'm really not sure what Pep has been going for recently re Cherki. Even still, Jesse has the power of the luck table, old man Casemiro, and the goat Jorgen Strand-Larsen on his side.
8 - Matthew (-1) - League A - Last 5: 70 (W), 38 (L), 27 (W), 42 (L), 38 (W) - A win… but at what cost… My team has been looking like mid-season Luke after the 70 pointer with the occasional Semenyo/Solanke goal propping me up. At least James Hill can keep a clean sheet and Mac Allister can win a free kick or score every once in a while. But still, I've been surviving off of Gakpo/Rayan/Matheus Fernandes 3 pointers the last few.
7 - Dylan (+1) - League A - Last 5: 41 (W), 32 (W), 48 (L), 40 (L), 62 (W) - Look at that, removing a 52 (L) and adding a 62 (W) - has Dylan turned a corner? A huge week going into the blank for Dylan off the back of 4 clean sheets out of his 4 playing defenders (one was benched, though), 2 goals and an assist from his midfielders, and a Sels 6 pointer sitting behind his Sa 0. Plus, Salah looked to be a nice mix of his old self and usual 2025/2026 self vs Galatasaray this week, before he got subbed for an injury.
6 - Zach (-1) - League A - Last 5: 54 (W), 52 (W), 54 (W), 31 (L), 33 (L) - Back to back weeks in the 30s for Zach as despite Sesko putting in work off the bench, his MID and FWD group has been floundering a bit. Saka and Rogers have been fairly invisible as of late, Damsgaard looked to be a one-hit wonder, and Bournemouth can't remember what it feels like to score a goal. At least he's only got 5 players from last week blanking this one. Surely that won't lead to any tough decisions.
5 - Kevin (+1) - League A - Last 5: 45 (L), 63 (W), 37 (D), 51 (W), 45 (W) - Another very solid week from Kevin, despite suffering from a DCL penalty miss and a MID/FWD group that eerily resembles the scores that Zach's put up (just replace Sesko with Gyokeres). Unlike Zach, however, Kevin's GKP/DEF group picked up 28 points, with Bart nabbing a clean sheet, Thiaw picking up a clean sheet and defcon, Mitchell getting his own clean sheet, and Frimpong getting a timely substitution to hang onto his 6 points before Liverpool conceded to Spurs. It is looking a bit rough in the midfield department though, as defcon beasts Caicedo and Gravenberch both just have 1 defcon return in the last 5 weeks. Not a huge deal when JP is putting up 19 every few weeks.
4 - Mack (-) - League B - Last 5: 52 (W), 46 (W), 35 (W), 49 (W), 42 (W) - A full slate of W's for Mack as she slowly but surely climbs her way toward the promotion spots in League B. This week's 40+ pointer comes from the Nottingham Forest + Fulham clean sheets as the best DEF for defcon in the game Andersen hits the mark yet again, old man Casemiro continued his scoring ways, Gyokeres got on the score sheet from about 1 yard out, and Garner snuck in his own 12 defcon performance.
3 - John (-) - League B - Last 5: 46 (W), 64 (W), 41 (W), 59 (W), 36 (W) - A heavily Bruno Fernandes weighted team this week from John, as over half of his points came from the Portuguese player's two assists + Gabriel clean sheet. Other than Stach hitting defcon, not a lot else was going on. I guess it all works out when you have the 2nd highest scorer in the game.
2 - Darryan (-) - League A - Last 5: 24 (L), 46 (W), 43 (W), 65 (W), 34 (L) - A rough one this week for Darryan as Timber got subbed in the first half due to injury, Alex Jimenez didn't get his start, and 6 points from his FWD trio did not help the situation. Plus, he's staring down the barrel of a Saliba/Timber/Rodri/Haaland/Marmoush/Mosquera blank, so we might be seeing something of a roster swap this week so he can field a full squad. Or maybe he'll just tank the hit to his power ranking spot.
1 - Matthew2 (-) - League B - Last 5: 39 (L), 43 (W), 31 (L), 67 (W), 51 (L) - Not much you can say when you score the 2nd highest in the league and go up against the highest score. Even still, it's another 50+ week off the back of the double Bournemouth clean sheet, Bart doing Bart things, a few defcons from Ampadu, Rodri, and Ballard, and the future 2025/2026 golden boot winner Igor Thiago scoring his 19th goal of the season.
Good luck all!
